Khumbu November 2008

As droves of tourists pull out in hurry, the weather becomes crispy and chilly. But the weather pattern stays stable and predictable. It stays this way into December.

The Himalayas is at its best; majestic and sublime.

In addition, we will be helping out local economy when the tourism thins out.

We will talk a volume about the surroundings and activities. We need volunteers for ideas and connections. The more connections you make, the best karma you get.

Alex Lowe foundation runs climber school. We could hatch an idea with them and do snow shoes guiding class. We can think of doing ecological projects. Teachers?

The goal is not to drive Sherpas into our elite sports but into less dangerous stuff like exploratory treks and high altitude snow shoeing.

Start studying air fares

We are thinking about two sites; Pheriche and Kumjung.

Chamonix, June 2008

It is pretty simple. Fly to Geneva. Look for summer flight deals on Swiss Air; swiss.com.

There is a bus service to Argentiere.

The place is not exactly a camp ground; Gite Belvedere.

If there are enough willingness, we can go and do things like Haute Route.

Use whatever is cheap. From the US, Swiss Air has a good deal.

You can reserve with these guys. Mostly ausies driver and professional.
